Tania & Scott married xx Lichfield Guildhall
Tania & Scott were married at the Lichfield Guildhall on the Jubilee weekend, 3rd June 2012.
Tania & Scott are a brilliant couple…But unfortunately the weather on their day wasnt brilliant 
It was the Wettest wedding ive ever done..The Rain was heavy and relentless all day..it didnt stop for even 5 minutes all day and all night
They chose to marry at Lichfield Guildhall which is a beautiful old historic building..A with a massive stained glass window..and wonderful gallery for a spectacular arial view.The old prison for felons and debtors is at the rear of the building and has been in existence since 1553.
So the day began with me arriving at Obsessions hair Salon in Lichfield..Tania and her sisters, her mom and nieces were all having their hair done there..I did a few pics there then had a wander round Lichfield in the pouring rain…It was Jubilee weekend so the quirky little streets of Lichfield were adorned with Red White & Blue, Union Jacks & Bunting…Looked great.
Once Tanias Hair & makeup was done, we headed back to Tanias House in Lichfield to continue getting ready..The dresses and flowers etc were here..So after a few pics here i headed to the Guildhall to wait for Tania to arrive and to see Scott and the lads…Only one ring at this wedding too-from Groom to Bride….So hence only the one ring in the ring shot pic.
When Tania and the bridesmaids arrived, it was hammering down and it was the horrible rain that gets you soaked in an instant..So armed with big umbrellas, the Wedding Cars pulled up and everyone ran in from the rain.
Tania looked amazing..a gorgeous and elegant Grecian style floaty dress and her Bridesmaids looked beautiful in a Grey shade of similar floaty dress, with the Flowergirls wearing Purple alongside the groomsmen wearing Purple and grey too.A fab colour scheme that worked beautifully.
Tanias dad proudly gave his daughter away to Scott waiting proudly at the end of the aisle..A lovely civil ceremony was followed by reception drinks downstairs and some family photos inside too..The weather was just far to bad to go outside…Although, i did make the Lads come outside for a pic or 2..as they didnt have a hairdo or dress or shoes to worry about 
..but it was literally pelting down for those shots lol
We had planned to go to the Friary gardens and the Cathedral for pics had it been dry..but that just wasnt an option …So I took the couple off for 15 mins on their own for some pics where i could indoors..we went to the Jail and made use of the Guildhall structure for some cool quirky pics, as well as the beautiful Minstrals gallery( pictured above)
Although having rain on your wedding day is dissapointing, you cant do anything about it, and so if it does rain, then the rain becomes a part of your day and you just have to embrace it..Which we sure did and it certainly didnt spoil the day at all.
After a few pics on their own, The couple headed back upstairs to enjoy their wedding breakfast with their guests and we had Speeches after..They cut the cake later in the evening, and they danced their first dance to the same song that i danced to 8 years ago at my wedding..David Gray ”Be Mine” They finished off the evening coverage with the ‘Show off Screen’ which was a real hit with everyone..Making use of all my Jubilee related props obviously
